If you would have asked me 2 years ago if I wanted to add another child into our family, I would have absolutely said no. I was so happy with 2 children, one of each gender, and our life was already challenging with 2. I found being a mom of 2 children so close in age extremely challenging. Living in Spokane was not easy for me, running a business was challenging, navigating child care and Bronson’s schedule was hard and everything just seemed so challenging.
When we made the decision to leave Spokane, it took us about 1 year to plan our exit. From getting the practice ready to sell, speaking to the realtor about selling our home, figuring out the challenges we would face with Bronson’s job, and then planning our life in California took us about a full year. The first step was selling the practice. Once we put the practice on the market for sale and we had a commited buyer, we decided to start trying for another child.
This pregnancy has been challenging. With me getting older the first trimester was extremely hard. Third trimester has been sooo hard with all the changes in my joints and bones. We were really hoping to add another girl to our family. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a sister and I absolutely love our relationship and I wanted to give that to Inaara. But after finding out we were having a boy, giving Halden a baby brother he can take care of and watch out for made our hearts sink. And knowing that Inaara will be my built in bestie for life has made me really excited!!
My due date is Saturday, May 3 and we are so excited to meet our baby bubba and watch him grow and become a man.
